a sad truth

When inside the cab, more often than not, drivers would either tune in to am or fm stations over the radio. Lucky if the driver is a bit on the younger generation and you get to enjoy their kind of music. Most of the time, old drivers would usually listen to radio dramas or public service programs. I usually just ignore what’s being aired during such times. One time, i can’t help but pitied one of the callers. He was almost crying because he just got out from the hospital and he can no longer work. He got into an accident while on site working and the company he’s working for did not grant him disability insurance, not even a separation pay. He was asking whom he could run to and what legal matters he should proceed. I don’t understand how employers can be that cruel. I hope it doesn’t happen to anyone. Sad but it’s the truth. I do know some companies who do not faithfully give their dues to their employees. And i could only sigh.
